Zafar Y. Sareshwala

Zafar established Parsoli Corporation Ltd. in 1990 as an Investment & Trading Company to provide retail stock broking & financial services. He was also one of the poineer of Islamic Finance and set up the first “Onshore Islamic Equity fund” regulated by FSA (Financial Service Authority) UK.

Zafar Sareshwala belongs to an illustrious family with 130-year-old business of manufacturing Industrial Valves. By qualification a Mechanical Engineer, he started his career with his ancestral manufacturing business – MH Valves, an established name in the valves manufacturing industry across India. In recent times, Zafar has founded Yconomy Eng Tech Pvt., a manufacturing company with a patented Product – Lever Operated Water Tap, specifically designed and intended as a water saving mechanism that can be utilized in any water supply installation.

Zafar Sareshwala was the former Chancellor of Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANU) from 2014 till 2017. During his tenure at MANU Zafar was instrumental in: Gaining recognition & approval of various courses and institutions associated with the MANU by UGC & AICTE Introducing, initiating and implementing various programmes including UPSC Training Academy to the benefit of students Obtaining vast sums of grants pending since 2012 Signing MOUs with large industrial houses, corporates for placements Organising 10 international seminars including one with the Government of USA Introducing direct admission to MANU for Madrasa Graduate students through a bridge course linking madrasa students to mainstream education.
